How it works
- Add JPG or PNG files, or drop a whole folder.
- Set the quality. 80 is a good balance; lower values give smaller files.
- Press Convert, then download each file or all of them as one ZIP.
FAQ
- Why use WebP?
- WebP files are usually noticeably smaller than JPG or PNG at similar quality, which makes web pages load faster.
- Is transparency kept?
- Yes. Transparent areas in a PNG stay transparent in the WebP.
- Will every program open the result?
- All current browsers do. Some older editing programs do not. If you need the widest support, choose JPG or PNG instead.
- Why is the WebP larger than my original?
- Small or already well-compressed files can grow. The result list flags this, and you can keep the original.
