How it works

FAQ
Does converting to PNG improve the quality?
No. A JPG has already lost some detail, and PNG cannot bring it back. The PNG simply stops further loss when you edit and save again.
Why is the PNG so much larger?
PNG stores every pixel without loss, so photographs take far more space than as JPG.
Is the orientation kept?
Yes. Photos taken in portrait mode stay upright.
Is any metadata carried over?
No. Camera details and location are left out of the PNG.
